I think the first two do make good instrumentals, however also feel they would be good with lyrics. The first one seemed quite a 'jolly' tune, made me think of 'new mornings/days/beginnings/hope' etc., that sort of thing. The second one had a slight bluesy feel which could be accentuated slightly. I thought it would make a good song that would tell a story. Perhaps about someone like King David, telling some of the things that happened to him and how he came through it all with the help of The Lord. Perhaps a chorus of love, faith and hope for all of us. The third song, well to be honest, I didn't find it too exciting. Some of the lyrics, as you say, would need slightly updating. Maybe it would be best left as it is, for reflection. To me, it reminds me of political and cultural days gone by. I don't mean to sound too critical, but I feel we should be praising The Lord more for what he has done and is still doing. Look forward to next week's song. The second instrumental definately needs words. I thought of His faithfulness when we have failed Him. How He has never failed us and is always there to bring us through. I like the words and music of the last one. (This may be hard to express in a comment) I think it is ten years ago in the sense of singing in a future sense. Lord let kingdom come- I believe its here and we have the keys . Heal us- I have been healed and see healing every week both physical and spiritual. Maybe you can change the words to thanksgiving for what He has done and is doing. Not sure if this makes sense but I feel sometimes the music of today is singing to things always just out of our reach. Oh yeah, you might meet an intern with Kathryn Scott named Ester Ahn tell her I said hi. She just came from my town here in California. Keep up the great work. The looping you did took me back to a video I saw of Phil Keaggy and how i could listen to it over and over and not get tired of it. The third song sounds very well done and not needing a whole lot, the feel of the music seemed to go right along with the humble attitude of the words.
