Worship in the Bars & Brothels of Pattaya Thailand
It’s after midnight here in Pattaya, Thailand and we’ve done our first worship gig in the ‘Love Hearts Bar’.
What a blast!
Our band, put together and led by my good mate Ian Hannah, including 3 piece brass section ripped through a series of Latin American and pop/rock versions of various worship songs. It really is amazing to see the transformation that happens in an incredibly dark place when we choose to worship. I’ve yet to properly write about the trip to Lithuania a couple of weeks ago when we did something very similar in an ex KGB haunt which is now a bar/restaurant and in the premier Jazz music club of the city.
Life has been so chaotic lately, I promise I will catch up AND do my final 2 songs of the 20/20 project.
We’ve been capturing lots of video clips of the trip which I’ll get uploaded asap. In fact you can see our one and only rehearsal while we’ve been here in Thailand here
and you can see amazing footage of a very moving trip to one of the Pattaya slums yesterday.
I found this very emotional
